Composed especially for the famous violinist Didier Lockwood on the occasion of the birth of the "Pas-de-Calais Symphony Orchestra" in 2009, the "Suite Concertante" for Violin and Orchestra consists of 7 movements.
Should we see there any relation with all the symbolism linked to this prime number ? (7 days of the creation of the Earth, 7 colors of the Rainbow, 7 Wonders of the World, 7 notes of the diatonic scale, or the symbol of life among the Egyptians ...)
Jean-Philippe Vanbeselaere first of all had fun writing music rich in different atmospheres, colors and rhythms, like a patchwork in which the soloist can express his many musical qualities while interacting with an orchestra with constantly renewed sounds.
"Lacrimosa" is the Part III of the "Suite Concertante".
